“I was transferred to a hospital and spent two weeks between life and death.” (Wiesel 115) After the prisoners were freed from the camp, Elie became very ill and he was made sure to be taken to a hospital for help, instead of just left to fend for himself after being freed. Lastly, it would be very horrible if something like this were to ever happen again, or another act of inhumanity, so the next thing that needs to be be done, is to prevent it from happening again in the future. “For the youth of today, for the children who will be born tomorrow. He does not want his past to become their future.” (Wiesel xv) The author of Night, Elie Wiesel, wishes that people of the future will never have to see or experience such horrendous events such as what he lived through, therefor it is important to try and prevent such things from happening later
