Other countries may not have catholic schools because of the different religions or the fact that some religions are not accepted. Private schools have different classes and a curriculum that will differ their learning from public schools. Private schools also do not have the same standardized tests as public schools. Therefore they might not learn the knowledge needed to do well on a standardized test required for public schools or learn more and be more educated than the public school students. Private schools are also very expensive. If private schools have a better curriculum than public schools, the people who cannot afford private school will not have the same opportunities as those attending the private schools. Private schools are known to have higher scores than public schools, Those with the inability to attend private school will be left out from opportunities. “The average private school mean reading score was 14.7 points higher than the average public school mean reading score…” (Comparing Private vs Public). Being exposed to learning tools on the internet help students get a better understanding of the curriculum taught. Technology can be a useful tool to enhance a students education; however, not all schools have the resources. Schools in areas with high poverty levels do not always have the money to get the needed materials and necessary technology for students to learn. This puts them at a major disadvantage. Who and what should decide who gets the best materials and who does not? This question should not solely be answered by the type of area that a person lives in.
