Sydney is Australia’s largest city and today it’s population is greater than the whole of Australia was over a century ago. Currently, more people live in Sydney than in the whole of New Zealand. Sydney is therefore changing, growing and expanding with an average annual growth rate of 1.8% with 63% of New South Wales’s current population living in Sydney, as opposed to the 48% of Queensland’s population living in Brisbane. However, Western Sydney’s population is currently growing more rapidly than the rest of Sydney. It is estimated that by the year 2030 the population of Greater Western Sydney will grow to almost three million people, making it larger than the rest of Sydney. Based on these current growth trends
