One prime example of this is when Romeo decides to go to the Capulet party. Also when Romeo chooses to marry Juliet on her balcony. “If that thy bent of love be honorable, thy purpose marriage, send me word tomorrow, by one that I’ll procure to come to thee, where and what time thou wilt perform the rite, and all my fortunes at thy foot I’ll lay, and follow thee my lord throughout the world” (II.ii.149-154). Throughout the play many events such as the ones previously described were all chosen by free will. Romeo and Juliet should not have blamed fate for their actions because they are completely responsible for every thing that they did. As Romeo quote, “I fear too early...of untimely death” (I.iv. 106-111). Romeo predicted when he was going to die and yet he kept on going to the Capulet's party. “I am fortune's fool”(III.i.119). If he had thought about his actions and maybe just stuck with his gut instinct, he may have still been alive. Sometimes Romeo and Juliet could not control their actions and what they do, but if they were smart and controlled themselves, they could have avoided their tragedies. If they had just contemplated what could happen, then they might be alive and they could live together happily without the
