In the Greek Tragedy.Oedipus Rex written by Sophocles Oedipus Rex shows multiple examples in Free Will by the choices he makes. On top of all they have just been struck by the vicious plague and also the Prophecy states that he has to kill his father and also sleep/ marry his mother. In this story Frewill causes the downfall of Oedipus Rex.
During this scene Oedipus is directing his attention to the chorus. Oedipus main down fall is mostly illustrated by free will instead of fate. During this scene Oedipus is going back and forth with the chorus and makes the decision to send to two guides in the search for the killer. The textual evidence states that Sophocles writes“ Even this I have done, for I sent two guides” (line 296)
