Examples Of Field Work Observation

For my field work observation, I observed Middle School students. The teacher used pretty much the same strategies for all three classes. However, she is more careful in class with disabled students. There are many types of students in each classroom. Depending on their needs she used various strategies. For example, If a student is easily to be controll then, she motivated them lightly. On the other hand, if the students is difficult to control then, she uses more strict voice and tell them in a hard tone so, they know that it’s something to be serious about. For example, in the classroom there were another assistant teacher, everything the teachers gave an assignment to do, the assistant teacher would help them. Then, the teacher said, “You guys are not a baby anymore, let them do it by themselves.” Also, when was student who were down or less motivated in classroom, the teacher took them outside then talked to them. What’s wrong or what’s going on with them. The teacher tried to be understandable with them in order to help them. In the other classrooms, the students were pretty good and did the assignments they were told to do. Also, they did pretty good in them. When students do good that doesn’t mean they don’t need motivation because if they don’t get a feedback on something they were willing to hear back then, they feel discourage to work in further. In that class, the teacher also used motivational strategies even though, they didn’t need inspiration.
