Fascism in the White House Throughout the past election the word "fascist" has been thrown around both in association of the President of the United States, Donald Trump and former President Barack Obama. This word has a very strong meaning and should not be used to describe a president . According to The American Heritage Dictionary the definition of fascism is, "oppressive or dictatorial control"(Mifflin). President Trump has been accused of many negative things that were simply not true, the media has twisted most of the things he has said. When you research fascism you quickly learn it is not a term to throw around and it is highly offensive, therefore it is not appropriate to call President Trump fascist. This statement is incorrect because Trump was relatively close with and had similar plans as other people in the Republican party. Many of these examples show us who Donald Trump really is and not who the media displays him to be. In all of his ideas and propositions he is trying to keep America safe and strong. The main reason people bash President Trump is because he is honest. He doesn’t hold back and speaks the truth and many people are offended by that. He is honest in everything he says and also led a very honest campaign.
His campaign slogan from the very beginning has been, "Make America Great Again".
This statement is very personal and is easy to connect with. President Trump is very loyal to America and therefore he could only want the best for it. People easily are mistaken by the way the news and the media has displayed him.
So is Trump a fascist? Absolutely not. He is going to be a great president because he is committed and loves our great country and has in mind what is best for America. Due to my research and observation I have came to a very clear conclusion that its simply not fair to call Donald Trump a
