Friends and families who are gathered here, we are here to celebrate the life of Augustus who sadly passed away due to cancer. I am delivering this eulogy as I’ve known him for a long time. I also would like to welcome, Hazel, who was Augustus’s girlfriend. Augustus left us a bit early but instead of mourning about his disappearance, we should celebrate the life of Augustus.

He was my best friend, he was there whenever I needed help. He cares about others more than himself and would rather see other’s happiness more than himself. I know it sounds selfish of him, but that's the kind of person he is. Whenever I met up with him, he would always have a cigarette hanging on his mouth but never lights it. It's a way for him to say “You put the killing in your mouth, but don't give it any power to”. He’s a very interesting guy. He helped me understand that even though you are at the lowest point of your life, you should always keep your head up high. This blindness has affected me heavily, I would get paranoid because of my fear of seeing everything pitch black so I needed my mother to do everything for me. However Augustus had been always beside me, he helped me have faith in myself. I could say that he saved me. Augustus you don’t need to worry, I will still remember you for what you have done for me. I really appreciate you for being a part of my life. I can’t imagine the world without him as he was mostly by my side and now it feels like a huge part of me is gone. I will embrace my blindness and will continue to live life like my eyes are still here. I am moved by Augustus’s courage, his strengths, and his determination. If Augustus was still here, I could imagine him smiling with a cigarette in his mouth and would say “Everything will be fine”. Farewell, best
