Can a league devise a system for ethical offences and their consequences for it’s players/organizations? How would punishments be determined to be fair/ethical? Who controls what actions are right/wrong? Is all punishment fair? Yes the league can devise a system for ethical offences and their consequences. They can make the decision from it code of conduct that all player have to read and sign. The player think they should have different rules than the owners. The punishment would be decide by the league or a grand jury from the united state courts. The code of conduct will control what is wrong and what is right. All punishment is fair because of the actions that they have done. Take into consideration the Ray Rice and Josh Gordon cases. They gave Josh Gordon a season long suspension for drugs and driving under the influence. They gave Ray Rice a two game suspension for hitting his wife. …show more content…
They are currently working on the new drug policy and the making of a new player conduct from for all existing and future members of the NFL. All players are required to sign the code of conduct. Current players are outraged about sign a new code of conduct because they currently have a sign on on file in the NFL office. THe NFL has changed its drug policy over the weekend to allow everyone on drug related charges to come back at a price. this price will be a ten game suspension. Which in my opinion is rightful of the NFl to do this for the player in drug use they
