The cultures of the society of 451 in Allendale California do not have that much diversity because everyone is made to think one way, and they all have to act the same. The government of has everyone brainwashed the town so that they will never be able to think on their own and revolt against them so they can control forever in ease and do what ever they want to them. Every citizen of the town has the same routine everyday, it never changes it just repeats itself over and over again without anyone thinking wow this is boring lets do something out of the ordinary. For example, each day they drive way over the speed limit just to get to one place and they hit people and kill them while no one frowns upon it. She seems to be an outcast to the town because she has her own thoughts and her family actually talks together and keeps the lights on late. While they were talking Clarisse made Guy think about everything he has been doing in his life. He becomes more and more open while he becomes different from everyone in the town. Guy is the main character in the story and his purpose is to try to stop the government from brain washing the people and be able to think on their owns and not do the same thing over in their everyday lives.
