Atticus says to climb into someone’s skin and walk around in it, means you have to walk around in someone's shoes before judging someone. You first got to understand him/her experiences and challenges before judging. In To Kill A Mockingbird, Scout says, “Atticus was right. One time he said you never really know a man until you stand in his shoes and walk around in them. Just standing on the Radley porch was enough.” Meaning she finally understood Atticus when Scout was judging Boo Radley and Atticus said, “You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view until you climb into his skin and walk around in it.” Scout walked around in his skin and finally understood why he did everything he did.

Skin color other than white gets mistreated. Like for example a while back there was a man who got killed by a police. The mistreating man didn’t really do anything bad. People think that people of another color should be this or do that. People are labeled. They should be justice in this world without labels and everything.
People label others by a homosexual, black, white, brown, the criminal, mentally ill, rich, poor, etc.. This should stop because we all have feelings, everyone’s the same from the inside, just not the outside. Yes, some people take the wrong path but it doesn’t define anything by the color. They judge homosexuals for liking girls if you are a girl or liking boys if you're a boy. It’s really not their choice who to like. People judge by there’s looks. Rich or poor were really all the same just with more opportunities than others, but people don’t

Race relations have been around for decades, and things haven’t changed so much since the incident in Little Rock on September 4th, 1957. Most African Americans still find it hard to be included into the White American society because there are still people in the world that choose not to accept them, due to the color of their skin. They are still being mistreated and judged and people always assume the worst from them in every given situation. In the article, “The Myth of Race” by Agustin Fuentes, he explains the question about human variation and how we can tell everyone apart from each other and how it’s all just a myth. I believe that people who discriminate against anyone of color need to understand that we are all the same on the inside and we are the ones who make the categories between each other.…

Imagine walking into a classroom, everybody's looking at you calling you names, talking behind your back because of your race, Imagine applying for a job but you didn't get accepted because of your race, imagine walking into a mall and having someone watch your every movement thinking that you’re going steal an item, or reveal a bomb from under your clothes. Just imagine living every day knowing that everywhere you go, everything you do is being observed and judged. You can never judge a book by its cover. Harper Lee uses a lot of figurative language and irony throughout the story in order to help readers and the characters, understand more about looking at a situation from other people's perspective. In the book To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee the author emphasises the prospect of climbing into someone else's skin by showing how Scout was able to see things through Boo Radley’s perspective, when Jem read to Ms.Dubose, and by making readers understand Atticus’s action in the trial. As the story progresses on Scout and Jem soon learn why Boo Radley stays inside his house after seeing his interpretation of everyone in the town.…

Recently, there have been protests at the University of Missouri about how the school had handled racial incidents, which resulted in the resignation of the university's president. Many people think that racial incidents don't occur today, but that isn't true. The reason racial incidents still occur today is because of prejudice. Prejudice is when people judge others when they only know a little or nothing about that person. People should know another person enough before judging them.…

Harvey Milk, a gay rights activist, once stated, “All men are created equal. No matter how hard they try, they can never erase those words. That is what America is about.” Although it is a fundamental American idea that people are created equal, this often is not the case due to personal bias. The similar sentiment, unnecessary racism, is mirrored in To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.…
