Many characters in To Kill A Mockingbird showed courage. The three I picked are Scout, Jem, and Atticus. They all showed courage in trying to help others or exploring places they have never been too.

She seems to know more than she is supposed to and speaks up in class the teacher gets angry and tells her to stand in the corner, because she said that Scout knows too much. She is showing courage going out to go get her shoes after the Halloween pageant, because she does not know what is out there.
