How Do You React To A Conflict. How do you respond to conflict? Many people just give up and stop trying, because it too hard, or too much work. Others look at conflict and smile because they will not give up, unless they try their hardest and still don't succeed. In the book things fall apart Okonkwo faces many trials. Such as when his gun explodes and kills a man he had to leave the village. He left with a positive attitude because he knew that it was the law. So okonkwo went to his mother's kingsmen, to live with him. While Okonkwo is their he faces the problem of his son disobeying him. His son doesn’t like Okonkwo because he killed a boy that was like a brother to him. So he and his father don’t get along. However when his son joins the Christian Church Okonkwo loses his temper and beats him with a stick. Okonkwo responds to his conflicts hastily, without thinking. After his squad was ambushed and he was the last alive he drew a line in the dirt and said after I pass that I can die. He did that same thing repeatedly on hills for Seven Miles, until he found someone nice enough to take him in and to help him. Although he was being taken care of a few days later a terrorist came into the village searching for him, and beheading people who have gone against him. He and the man that had taken care of him along with a few others had to fight off the terrorist. In the end the Military came in and rescued the Lone survivor.
