Beowulf’s loyalty is unmatched compared to anybody, he is the guy to want to be nice to and be on your side when it comes to battles. Whatever the case Beowulf has your back. “Wait for me close by my friends, we shall see soon who will survive” (Beowulf line 679). Because of Beowulf’s loyalty his men stay by his side at all time even if he is in deep trouble and a battle for example. Wiglaf stays with Beowulf to help kill the huge dragon. “I’d rather burn myself then see flames swirling around my lord.” (Beowulf line 781). Wiglaf realizes Beowulf is in a little bit of trouble against the dragon so he stays and helps defeat the dragon.
