Usually, you were taught at a young age not to judge anyone. Especially if it was based off of their gender, race, appearance, or even sexuality. Although, it seems like in Maycomb County, you are always going to be judged by someone around you depending on the characteristics you may be giving off to them like your personality or the way that you dress. This happens everywhere, not just in Maycomb or just in the state of Alabama. Even if you were told not to judge people by their looks, some made you turn your head and judge anyways. Even when you shouldn’t along with others, it’s almost like an instinct in your mind to do it at least once.
