An instance (as in a story or painting) of such expression. Lord of the flies by ellie goulding is an allegory book because it show how kids need structure or they could do things beyond people's imagination. an example of allegory in the book lord of the files is “Ralph's conch-led Parliament represents democratic government”. And another good example of allegory is “Piggy represents the forces of rationalism, science, and intellect which get ignored at society's peril”.
