Examples Of A Thank You Letter To John Carroll

Decent Essays
I just wanted to take the time to thank you for giving me the opportunity to go to John Carroll. I am going to write how I feel I would fit in at John Carroll and not a rehearsed, corny statement: so forgive me if it sounds strange. I think I would fit in well with the serious campus atmosphere. I also think the small campus size and religious attributes fit me quite well. I would be an asset to John Carroll because of my personality and my life choices. I have done Christian service every semester that I have had the chance, even if it is not required. I enjoy helping those in need, it makes me feel good to know that I am the reason people wake up excited in the morning. I also have a job that I love and take quite seriously. I work

I am writing to thank you for your service to the United States and wish you a happy Veterans Day. The magnitude of your selflessness and courage is incomprehensible to me, and though these may be trite words, I sincerely mean what I say. I can think of no experience more inherently laudable and worthy of profound respect than serving in the armed forces. What compounds my gratitude of your service specifically is your modesty in discussing your service. Indeed, I believe you mentioned your service only once or twice in class.…

As a possible incoming student, who not only desires to, but needs to learn and attend a favorable campus, the things that I can offer and/or bring are my experiences and skills. I will try to help enrich the campus community as much as I can. Although, my experiences and interests may be easily overlooked by some because of the simple fact that I am “only seventeen,” and that everyone is still continuously evolving. I believe I can still bring something to only help enrich the community. A particular experience that I know differentiates from others is, being Hmong.…

As an American, I believe that my home, the U.S., feels very safe and secure. The great soldiers of our time and before times created this feeling for my family and many others within our beautiful country. They gave us our education for us to have a successful career in our future and gave us all our rights and freedoms because of their bravery and toughness throughout the wars. I will always respect our veterans and will always have the thought in the back of my mind that it was you, the veterans, who made our country so wonderful to live in and always feel safe.…

As a child of immigrant parents, whom never passed secondary education, I had been told several times by my mother, “I came here so you can have the opportunities I never had.” I never took her words in for consideration. Being callow was part of the predicament, and my early teenage mindset kept me in captivity. Unlike my mother, I’ve been oblivious to the fact that as a citizen, I’m capable of achieving anything. During my last two years of high school, I realized that she was utterly right.…

I believe I will fit in perfectly at Calvin, because my goal is to put God first. Putting God first, for me, mainly means enthusiasm: enthusiasm for God, enthusiasm for life and learning, and enthusiasm for others. Colossians 3:23 says, “Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than men.” I try my best to live by this statement daily, no matter where I am or what mood I am in. Enthusiasm for God is the most important trait I can think of.…

They don’t tell you who I am as a person, nor do they tell you if I would be a good candidate for your school. Hopefully, in this personal testimony of mine, I would like to explain some of the reasons why you should consider me as a student that is right for your school. I would first like to start off saying that your school is at the top of my list, as well as many others. I know that I am a perfect candidate for FIT as I have learned many great things in high school and at the community college I attend that will benefit me on my journey as I go to transfer to a four year University of my choice.…
