Personal Narrative: A Magnificent Stef

Improved Essays
After spending countless hours with Stefani, or Stefalicious, the thing that stands out the most to me is how much fun it is being around and with her. To try and say that I can accurately represent Stef from one experience or by one trait would be untruthful and an incomplete representation of her character. However, I can try to show you what kind of a relationship we have through a couple conversations and stories. I met Stefani the first Sunday of last semester. I was assigned to home teach her apartment with another gentleman in our ward. That day him and I exchanged contact information and decided it would be best to go and introduce ourselves and maybe share a brief message with the sisters. Whites need to be accepted and treated with kindness. They are logical, objective, and tolerant of others. Blues need to have integrity and be appreciated. They are focused on quality and creating strong relationships. And finally Reds need to look good technically, be right, and be respected. They are strong leaders and love challenges. So a lot of the time once you figure out someone’s color you can plan activities and events that are tailored to what they want to do to have fun. Some would say that Stefani would be either a Yellow or a Blue…until you truly get to know her. Then you realize that she is her own color. She is motivated by food. Just to get her to agree to being interviewed for this project I had to get her a pizza from Pizza …show more content…
The example that comes to mind when I say that is when we were coming home from Idaho Falls in my car, when all of a sudden the car started seizing and I had to pull over. At this time I called my insurance company and they told me that there would be a tow truck coming to get my car in about an hour. I was very annoyed that it was going to take that long, so I threw a fit and just lay my chair back and was scowling. At this time Stef says “hey at least the radio still works”, and she hooked her iphone up to it and started playing relaxing music, which instantly flipped my mood. I think that her ability to see the silver lining in situations is one of the main reasons that I find it so enjoyable to be around

I searched out opportunities to give back and help the people in my community both in volunteering in hospitals, educating high school students, and interning in private practices. I even traveled with the organization Medlife, setting up a medical clinic to provide basic medical care and education to people in the poor and underserved communities surrounding Lima, Peru.…

This trip could not have been timed more perfectly. The summer of 2007 marked the end of fourth grade, my first year at Saint Mary Academy Bay View.…
