When taking this course, I went into it already pretty confident in the idea that I was going to become a Dental Hygienist. The best interpretation of a dental hygienist that I can conceive is a professional whose main job is to teach their clients the essential oral hygiene skills and provide dental care in order for the client to maintain their overall oral health. Some qualities I feel I possess as a person and a hygienist is that I am determined, responsible, self-motivated, organized, and flexible. As I entered into my sophomore year of high school, my future aspirations all began with one simple choice that unexpectedly turned into one of the most drastic decisions I had made yet.
