We have logos which is, “an appeal to logic, and is a way of persuading an audience by reason.” Wwe have pathos which is an, “appeal to emotion, and is a way of convincing an audience of an argument by creating an emotional response.,” Lastly we have ethos which, “appeals to ethics, and it is a means of convincing someone of the character or credibility of the persuader.” Observing this peacepiece by Fukuyama, I made the conclusion that this essay is clearly pathos compared to the other 3three. The more I looked in detail about the three appeals and the text, the more pathos stood out for this essay. In my perspective pathos is a sensitive route, which through the text of Fukuyama gave enough examples. Fukuyama specified his side of the dispute in the beginning and is trying to somehow persuade the reader that transhumanism is a very dangerous subject to go into without having an effect on the human nature.
