Some people have stories about destiny and plans for the universe, some people have stories about fate and the inevitable doom of the universe, and some people never think about issues bigger than those in their immediate existence. When it comes down to it, we only know so many facts. Beyond those we can only guess. The difference in someone who makes those guesses based solely on his own perspective and someone who makes guess based on objective facts will be the difference between longterm human suffering and longterm human flourishing. My perspective is a hopeful one. I hope humanity begins including more objective facts in its subjective narratives.
