Once specific example of plagiarism that is deliberate and blatant is purchasing an essay or paper from an online website and using it as your own. This is also referred to as Unauthorized Assistance (UoPeople Catalog, 84). There have been a few sites that have emerged over the years that students initially flocked to, and which also created the need for plagiarism checking web sites and applications such as turnitin.com. This is an application many universities utilize when having students submit homework in order to verify that the wording doesn't exist elsewhere. I think I have heard the most media coverage lately centered around US Campus rape. This epidemic has been quoted by several recent studies as being as high as 20% of all female undergraduates facing sexual assault or similar crimes (Study). It's my opinion that this is the mostly highly unethical and despicable behaviors that has become attached to higher education in recent years. Other unethical behavior that comes to mind is the also recent scandal of racist behavior from fraternities which are composed solely of students of higher institutions. These are just a couple of instances of unethical behavior not necessarily focused around academics that have gotten students into disciplinary trouble with their universities, not to mention brought legal ramifications upon those
