The first time I ever met my wife was back in 2005. She was working at Smokey’s Dog House as a waitress after school. I would go in Smokey’s Dog House with my friends, who were also friends with my wife, while there we would all get hand dipped ice cream and just converse. After she would get off work at night, mostly on the weekends, we would all get together and hang out. Since my wife and I had several mutual friends, we would hang out often and got to know one another well. Once she graduated high school, we started talking and hanging out even more, later on we decided to start dating. We began dating in May of 2006. In March of 2007, we decided to get married and that she would move back home to continue with her college courses at Bethel College at the time. Once she moved back home, I started a new job with my step father-in-law, who owns a timber harvesting operation. On July 2, 2007, we had our first child together, Aubrey Grace. In December of 2010, I than started a new career with Unimin Corporation while my wife was at that point in nursing school at Bethel University. In May of 2011 I got to celebrate with my wife as she graduated nursing school. In August 2011, we celebrated together as a family with the purchase of our own home. On July 16, 2012, we welcomed a second blessing into our lives, our youngest daughter, Emily Faith. We experienced a very devastating tragedy on December 26, 2013 as a family. On this date my mother passed away from lung cancer, which she had been battling for 2-3 years prior to this date. I knew I could make it through this very sad time in our lives with the support of my wife. My family is the biggest and greatest blessing to me and for this I will always be

Picture versus Personal Narratives Older individuals differ in narrative quality when prompted by different stimuli. The participants used more cohesive ties on the personal narrative than on the pictorial narrative. This may be due to the sequential nature of the personal narrative task and the descriptive nature of the pictorial task. Additionally, the results of this study show that older adults use greater lexical diversity during the pictorial task than the personal narrative tasks.…

My greatest influence as I came of age was my Grandfather. My mother's father turned sixteen in 1942 and joined the Marine Corp illegally in order to fight in World War Two. This began his highly decorated career in the armed forced in which he saw action in the Philippines, Korea and in Vietnam and Laos. I was born, as his first grandchild, on the 50th anniversary of his World War Two homecoming on December 4th, 1995. With that in mind, he took a special interest in my upbringing and education.…

I believe we have all had that one moment when we prayed to God that, “If you get me through this Lord, I will never do it again. I promise.” Now in my life I’ve had a lot of those “Oh crap” moments, but the one that sticks out the most is the one back when I just turned fifteen and got into my first wreck. First, I was born. I do not remember the event firsthand, but several persons who I hold in high regard assure me that it did in fact happen, at approximately ten o’clock on the morning of August twenty-eighth, Year of Our Lord 1998. Shortly thereafter, my parents made the drive from the hospital in Montgomery, Alabama back to the small, white country church where my dad worked as preacher. It may be more correct to say that we drove back to the church parsonage, but this parsonage was only a double wide trailer in a clear-cut behind the church, so it will suffice to say that we returned to the church.…

Similar to most people, a lot of my research has been through school. From research projects in elementary school on indigenous Colorado animals, to Japanese traditional architecture and many other paper based on archival research. After high school an inordinate part of my life was finding out what I want to do for the rest of it. The processes started with taking ethnographies and interviews from nurses and finding out that I was to gregarious for the short talks I would have with patients. I am really glad I looked into nursing before going to school, the nurses that were successful and helped the most people are the ones who did not perform small talk, but got in, did what they need to and moved on to the next.…

By they providing me with these important things that I needed to know, I 'm stronger, better equipped and more understanding to things I encounter in my life. Having family that’s full of wisdom and of kind nature has been the biggest gift that they could have ever given to me; my mother, father and Aunt Michelle were the main people in my life proving me with an essential guidance before it was even relevant to me for example, how to be happy all by myself, how love the little moments and victories that happen to me, and of course the how to pay bills and then…
