This applies to my daily life in many different ways. Being saved by the blood of Jesus, my daily life is impacted. I am called to love God first and others second. I am also called to walk humbly with God. “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God” (Micha 6:8). I spend time with God daily by reading His word and by praying. I try to pray every day for spiritual strength, forgiveness, sinners, others hurting, family, and more. I believe that everybody is created in the image of God, therefore I am to treat them with dignity and kindness. I treat others the same no matter what their skin color or background might be. I try to be a friend to all who I come in contact with. My faith and love of God helps me teach young children. I strive to lead by His example and through His word. I reach out to others about the gospel. Dr. Greg Hall, from answersingenesis.org, offers some wisdom on this, “As we teach them apologetics and help them learn how to study the Bible to feed their own souls, we will be fostering a faith that will withstand the attacks on the world. Firmly grounding their worldview in Scripture offers them great hope and assurance that they can conquer the challenges from the world.” I think this is so important to remember, especially in our world today. While here on earth, we are to worship and serve Him as Lord and Savior. Everything that we see and do in life shapes our worldview. Thankfully, I grew up in a Christian family and therefore, I have a strong biblical worldview. I also have to be respectful of others worldview, even with other Christians, as they won’t be the same as mine. Sire (2015) explains this as pluralism. I need to be open to looking closer at why they believe what they do and try to understand them better. With all the evil that is happening in our world today, I hold strong to my faith and keep the Bible close when doubts come my way. There are so many temptations out there on social media, TV, and movies deriving from Satan. It’s important as Christians that we hold onto our convictions, lest we be separated from them. It is with strong conviction and faith that we can force the immoral provokers away from our lives indefinitely.
