Freedom is having the right to life from the moment of conception. Freedom is having a bean-shaped body with no hands and no feet, and still having the rights of a fully-formed human being. Freedom is knowing that even though you cannot defend yourself as a three-week old in utero, your mother will protect. Freedom is knowing that if your mother will not protect you, the law will. Freedom is when you are defenseless and most vulnerable, and feeling the warm affection and protection offered by those around you. Freedom is being nourished and growing until it is time to enter the world on delivery day. Freedom is being protected by the same laws that protect individuals already born, even though you are not yet born. Freedom is making it to delivery day without having your life intentionally snatched from you. …show more content…
Freedom is realizing that even though high school is hard, you would like to buy a car, so you get a job while you are in high school. Freedom is choosing which job you would like to have. Freedom is choosing which car you would like to buy. Freedom is when the car industry has no environmental regulations, thus allowing them to build cars however they want. Freedom is when you choose what car you would like to buy, and then evaluate the environmental impact if that is important to you. Freedom is raising your hand and asking a question in a high school history class without being reprimanded for your political or religious beliefs. Freedom is when your high school teachers accurately present both sides of an argument, and let you choose which side you agree with. Freedom is watching all the romantic drama in high school and choosing not to participate. Freedom is watching how your friends make terrible decisions when they are drunk, and choosing not to drink yourself. Freedom is watching your friends make stupid choices, and learning from their
