Since the moment I got here I felt at home. Even before I decided to attend Florida Southern, my admissions counselor was extremely patient and helpful. Now, as a student I work in Admissions as a Southern Ambassador. While giving tours, I have noticed what a small and great community Florida Southern is; current students wave at us on a tour showing how friendly our campus is, professors smile at us showing their excitement in seeing potential new students. Whether you are involved in greek life or you are a member of other organizations and clubs, you can always leave your mark on campus.…

I chose to attend the University of Central Oklahoma because I loved the area, and I felt that this college has a great atmosphere. It feels as if any freshman can come onto this campus, and adapt themselves within the first few minutes of being here. I find it very convenient that there is a vast majority of activities and clubs to get involved in, so no one feels like an outsider. The whole environment just rubs off on you in a good way. It's everything I wanted when I pictured living on a college campus.…

This collision literally made my mind go all over the place, so I decided to go a little more in-depth in learning about the two. The main reason I attended St. Thomas University my freshman year was due to the fact that it was a free education. I can't afford college unless I earn scholarships to pay my way through school. My family doesn't have the money to send me off to out of state or private schools so I worked hard to earn the money on my own. The scholarship I earned at St. Thomas University was both academic and athletic.…

I have not been the same person for more than a day. From the very beginning I have been molded and cast by the world around me in a constant harmony of giving and receiving experiences and lessons. To colligate all the experiences one endures through life, into one general description, such as positive or negative, would be to grossly understate the impact of every single moment and the beauty of each detail. I wish to give more to the world and my community, through appeal and beauty. At FSU I can hope to get a head start in my education in advertising to be able to ignite a passion in others through research and communications.…

I have chosen to work towards a degree in dental surgery because of my interest in the sciences, medicine, and in research. My interest for undergraduate research has increased significantly since attending Hendrix College and my experiences thus far has made me a very well rounded student allowing me to study what I love, participate in athletics, and many other service organizations that Hendrix offers. Initially, I intended on majoring in Health Sciences, but decided against that as I realized that I was completely enthralled with chemistry and noted our outstanding chemistry department. This led me to my decision to pursue a Biological Chemistry/Molecular Biology degree to help me in my pursuit of dental school. Hendrix is providing…

My passion for K-State will make my college career so much more fun, and also filled with many more activities than high school. I hope to be involved in marching band, I also want to have a job on campus, and help my fellow students, and I also want to go to a lot of KSU sporting events with my friends. I think the fact that I care about more than just academics will reduce my stress level too, and make me generally happier too. I hope that the more accepting college atmosphere will improve my happiness, and make me a better friend, and then I will have more energy to make those around me happier. I hope that me and my roommate, will be able to both be passionate enough about college to encourage each other to do our best, so we can both do…

True and significant life is found in Jesus Christ and because of my firm conviction of this it has been my primary objective to point people to Jesus. Being persuaded that Christ wants Christians and especially those who take leadership roles to minister to the needs of others, I have ordered my life to conform to that conviction. Ultimately, Jesus desires that each Christian serves him by serving others; this is accomplished in a variety of ways – feeding those who are hungry, teaching everyone the life saving Gospel, and by leading in a way that reflects the glory of Christ. It has been my immense pleasure to have had the opportunity to preach God’s Word to thousands of people over the past fifteen years. It is my sincere passion to see people embrace Christ Jesus as their Lord and savior and to be transformed by the renewing of their minds through the Word of God.…

Personal Statement At first, I was too timid to get involved in school activities and used to think that they were pointless clubs and organizations. I was ignorant about the values that I could gain when volunteering in the community and school, and discouraged by the lack of authority from African Americans in my high school, which has, unfortunately, always been this way. A majority of minorities at Puckett High School do not even attempt to run for student council or class officer positions. I soon, however, realized the importance of these extracurriculars and began to obtain leadership roles.…
