To be honest, I have few memories of Mr. Cannarozzi. He was never my teacher, never someone I had grown close too. Still, the memory I have of our only interaction showed that he had a lasting and positive impact on everyone, even those he did not know. I remember running into Lenox, excited to get to Mrs. McCallum’s class. I had reached the very last step and went to grab the heavy, fire-resistant door, but had made the mistake of having my little foot to close. Next thing I knew, I was in the nurse’s office with a lousy broken toe waiting for my mom. As I sat and pouted, waiting to be whisked away, Mr. Cannarozzi sauntered into the office with treats in tow. Upon seeing me he automatically offered me some. “These are really for only the teachers,” he winked. “But I’ll let you have whichever you choose.” Giddy, I chose a little piece of cake, feeling like the most privileged third grader to ever grace Lenox. After eating the first, he made sure I had a second, and continued to comfort me until my mom arrived. Though we only shared a small moment, Mr. Cannarozzi had shown me the importance of helping others when they are in need. …show more content…
Before tearing my hip cartilage, I played two seasons on JV soccer and ran the 800 meter and 1600 meter for winter and spring track, earning myself a letter and a white star. Currently, I am the light board manager in for the Musical, a program I have been apart of since I was a freshmen.
