Pathos is a powerful tool used to invoke any emotions from joy, anger, jealousy to love that helps the writer connect with the reader. The slogans that I choose were the “Reach out and touch someone” ad for AT&T and the “Think different” ad for Apple. The “Reach out and touch someone” ad for AT&T was the perfect slogan because just about everyone had access to a phone and had someone they wanted to talk to no matter the distance. In the ad a young man moves away from home and calls his mom trying to hide the fact that he was home sick. AT&T successfully connects with anyone who has ever moved, had someone move away or just wanted to be in contact with a loved one.
