Dress codes are enforced in many places. They are mandatory in some places, and in other places, they aren't enforced. Dress codes are enforced for many different reasons. Sometimes, dress codes are enforced so the people wearing them can look more sophisticated; sometimes it's enforced so people can separate them from others.

For example, you have to wear good clothes to school because when you go to school you don't go to wear something not good because you going stay in school for long time. You have to wear something enforced and wear something that you don't feel enforced. In my opponent, high school should wear something good. And everyone wears some stuff because everyone is coping each other. Always don't Coping People what they

Throughout the graphic novel Maus by Art Spiegelman, a plethora of the rhetorical appeals, ethos, pathos, and logos, are demonstrated. Ethos is established via things like credibility of the speaker; Pathos is displayed through things like appealing to the audience’s emotions, hopes, fears, or prejudices; Logos is shown through things like clear, rational ideas, facts and citations. All of those ways to show the rhetorical appeals can be found in Maus. While examining the illustrations and dialogue of Maus, one can analyze and cite many exhibitions of ethos, pathos, and logos.…

There have been several deaths caused by the plaguing addiction of drugs and alcohol.Drug use is becoming a growing problem that needs to be contained and prevented with the help of an expansion of the organization LAPP (Licking County Alcoholism Prevention Program) branching out into its own center called EPLAPP, (Extensive Progression of Licking County Alcoholism Prevention Program). To cut back on the drug use and deaths in Licking County, EPLAPP will provide users and abusers with the resources they need to sober up, cutting back on the drug use rate which will cut back the number of deaths. With the creation of EPLAPP, the services being provided will be more in depth and help some with more employees/volunteers to help addicts, along with other resources, such as financial aid, counseling, and sober living facilities. To persuade readers that the expansion is the best way to combat drug abuse, the use of ethos, pathos, and logos will be implemented. Rhetorical techniques within my speech were subtle yet still managed to enhance the message I was trying to convey; that all firearms should be banned in the United States. I used a combination of rhetorical techniques including; anaphora, hypophora, a mild chiasmus, alliteration, and sententia. Halfway through my speech, I used anaphora when I was describing the different reasons people have for owning guns. This particular method was helpful because I wanted to portray the reasons as ridiculous and repetitive, which paired well with anaphora, since it added to the redundancy with its own repeating sentence beginnings. Another technique I used later on in the speech is hypophora. I used it in the context of asking…

This class helped more than other English classes that I took at PCEP. For example, I learned more information about ethos, pathos, and logos. Last year in American Literature, I learned about the basics of ethos, pathos, and logos. This year in Sci-Fi I learned that logos means using reasoning by backing with facts and details throughout a writing piece. While pathos means an emotional appeal that person says and writes, and you can have an emotional response to the words that are stated. To be honest, the word ethos, I have a struggle understanding the meaning of it. Even though we wrote it into our notes, I can't explain it to anyone at all. But, I could say I have better…

Abortion leads to depression and suicide. A study proving this could be used to logically argue that abortion must be banned. A doctor may argue that abortion is sometimes necessary to save a woman’s life. Neither of these arguments would make a substantial impact on the general public. Abortion is too much of an emotionally charged issue for logos and ethos to sway the American people. At the funeral of Julius Caesar, Antony recognized a similar disposition in the Romans. Brutus’s ethos was no match for the emotion Antony cultivated in the public.…

I created three posters each one appealing to ethos, pathos, or logos specifically using visual rhetoric. For my first poster I used a comparison of the symptoms of opioids off the street and prescribed to show that there are large similarities between the effects. I used a blue color for the brain to show that there is a change from the normal chemistry of the brain when the effect of the drugs are used. The words “Could you draw the lines?” is in reference to the effects of the drugs. It uses logos to persuade the audience that the use of prescribed opioids are dangerous. The second poster shows a man wrapped in Christmas lights on the street. I used Christmas lights because of their relation to this time of year. The words read “He won’t…

There are three type of appeals that ad reflects, in which one of them is logos. Logos means logic, and my ad is best example of logical appeal. It not only contains social message of ‘not to drink and drive’, but it also tells about how one individual’s decision can affect other lives. My ad has perfect setting, and elaborating on that crash displayed in ad shows lack of intelligence, whereas visually it shows the prefect setting of destruction and cause made by driving in alcoholic state, and if that’s not enough it also has titles which speaks for the purpose represented.…

“Sorry I’m late, traffic was crazy!” That excuse has been used by everyone at least once. There are many people who use excuses like that all the time because they have no responsibility for themselves. There are a couple people who never use excuses, those people are vulnerable and accept when they do wrong. Lastly I wanted establish logos by laying out a logical story that would be easy to follow for the audience. Regarding the clarity and style of my speech there was some aspect that were effective and others that were ineffective. The vocal and verbal clarity were delivered effectively. I had voice and vocal control and the audience was able to hear me well, and my non-verbal expression was controlled. However, my overall message was not conveyed clearly. For example, my message was the importance friendship but my account was one-sided. I explained how my friendship was important to Vanessa but I failed to explain how her friendship was important to me. I also feel that effectiveness of my speech was weakened d my structure. While logos and ethos help an argument, the use of fallacies can hinder an argument’s credibility to the reader. In the entire editorial, Pielke references that the addition of a sports major will bring together the separation between academics and athletics. He does not refer to any other method of solving this problem and in one instance, he says that creating these types of degree programs will bring the two issues closer together. This is assuming that the action he wants universities to take is the only one that will provide a positive outcome of a closer knit community between the academic and athletic departments. There are other possible ways to decrease this separation other than adding an entirely new major only specific to those…
