The quote by Chris Rock says, ''Don’t be black in Florida, don’t be a woman in Texas, and don’t be poor in America.'' This is a great example of a stereotypical and liberal joke. Laughing at the "truths'' of America. Chris Rock is pointing out how these states, and this country, treat people when numbers and facts tell a different story. This quote, to some people, is a truthful and factual quote made to be funny by saying, "you can't live here because of this, and you can't live there because of that," and this takes a total Liberal audience. On the contrary, a conservative side would see a quote like this and believe it to be funny because, none of the problems stated are actual truths, essentially making fun of the fact that he believes this to be true. Rock specifically claims Texas is sexist because of the events that have taken place there such as the Texas tech university's incident in the science department. Based on a few things that have coincidentally happened in Texas he says that the state its self is sexist. Something sexist did occur in the state of Texas but what makes it okay to declare the state as a whole, sexist. Sexist things happen in all states everyday but because one particular situation created more attention than others he thinks it is okay to say if you are a woman you shouldn’t live in Texas because its unsafe. Fabio Fognini got suspended from the United States for calling his opponent a ''whore'' and a ''****sucker'' on the tennis courts. Does that make the whole country of Italy sexist for a single persons' doing? So, in conclusion, Rock saying Texas is sexist for a single incident is like saying the country of Italy is sexist because of Fabio Fogninis actions. A good joke, right? This ties back to rock saying don’t be black in Florida, because of incidents that have happened there and false accusations of white cops targeting black
