1. Age and gender: Amy is a 15 year old sophomore in high school.

2. Relationship to the child: Amy is a neighbor of mine. I will be observing her getting tutored for an hour.

3. How I got permission to observe: I spoke to Amy’s parents and asked if I could observe her getting tutored for a class assignment. I showed her parents the assignment and all the details. They reviewed the assignment and agreed. We also checked with Amy and asked if she would be comfortable getting observed. Since she is familiar with me, she stated she was comfortable with me observing her tutoring session. The last step was to get permission from Amy’s tutor to observe the lesson. Amy’s parents contacted their tutor and asked her if it she would be comfortable
