Change, a word which rolls off the tongue effortlessly, meaning, “ to make or become different,” a word everyone uses frequently if not daily. It is also quite short in it’s entirety, consisting of only 6 letters, “Do you have some change,” or “Did you finally change the oil in the car,?” are very common uses of the word. This is simply because we do not know the depths of the word. To use change to it’s fullest potential you must ask, “Are you the change you want to see?” One man, who fully understood change before mankind even tinkered with idea was Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He fought for equality and pushed for the idea that we should give back to our communities by coming together no matter our race or gender. 52 years later, after Dr. King has died for his beliefs he has inspired me to do the same, to try and better my community. It’s a big task to try and accomplish, but with doing simple tasks like donating to goodwill, mentoring young bright kids at my local elementary school, and just open to have a conversation …show more content…
He wanted everyone to be treated the same way, and to have access to their rights, have a place to live, clean water to drink, a safe place to sleep, clothes to put on their back and so forth. This has inspired not just me but my mom as well. We always try to donate our unused items to our local goodwill. For instance, recently we cleaned out our winter apparel boxes and donated the items that didn’t fit, or haven’t worn that often. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside when I think about the person who might be wearing my old clothes to keep warm. Sharing your wealth, and I don’t just mean your money with the rest of the community is very important to establish kindness and peace in communities, if everyone just helped each other with little things like donating clothes or volunteering at local libraries, change would be seen much

Even if one person creates changes in his or her society at a global, national, or community level in a positive way, will make this world a better place. Each individual can create changes in his or her society, unless he/she feels that it is important to society, that an action must be needed and the action that they going to propose in order for changes to happen.
