Mulan is an only child of an honored family in the ancient China. When the Huns invade China, each family is required to send in a man as a call to arms. Because Mulan is a girl she is not eligible to fight in the war against the Huns, therefore the Mulan’s father must go to fight. Due to an old wound, he had gotten in battle he is unable to walk properly. Mulan’s father despite the wounds decides to go fight in the honor for his country and family name knowing that he won’t be coming back from this battle alive. Mulan who had just messed up wants to prove to the family that she is worth something decides that she will sneak out and replace her father in the Chinese army, disguised as a man of course.
