Mark ran for governor twice in South Carolina and presented his tax returns both times. He stated that he felt uncomfortable about doing, but his still did it because it was tradition. If the candidates running for office do not show their returns why should a governor? If one person does or do not do it, it is like a domino effect.
In my opinion you cannot think you can run for anything without showing proof that you are qualified to take on the job. That is with any job or task, you have to show proof that it is the right thing for you to do. Donald Trump thinks because he has the business skills and mindset that he ca run the country, but it is so much more to it. If Donald is hesitant to show how he handles his finances, what makes you think that the citizens of America would trust you enough to lead this country?
In conclusions, the main point is that if you want to be leader show then you are worthy enough to be appointed one. As Mark Sanford says it is one thing to show to support, but what can you bring to the table. Show proof.
