APA style is the style guide for publications in my research field. The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association provides guidelines on all aspects of the writing process for APA style such as the organization, style, references, etc. The three top journals where my research will likely appear are Psychology and Aging, Annual Review of Psychology, and Trends in Cognitive Sciences. The official website of the American Psychological Association has instructions for authors for each of these journals. These journals have rigorous standards that authors must abide by in order to submit their manuscript. For instance, Annual Review of Psychology requires authors to provide editable files of manuscript in Microsoft Word.

3.2 Sampling I found my research participants through snowball sampling. Snowball sampling is a well established practice of asking respondents to recommend other possible research participants. Which in my case, the respondents willingly helped to share my survey link. The big advantage of this method is that it increases the number of respondents because people become more positive towards a researcher and are more willing to cooperate when introduced to someone they know. With snowball sampling, participants in the research are more likely to know each other and thus have a bigger chance of sharing a particular background and characteristics that are likely to colour their views and opinions.…
