I have been reading Sports Illustrated ever since I received my first Sports Illustrated for Kids and laid in bed for hours reading the magazine. I continue to read content on SI.com as part of my daily routine, and the articles and reporting on the site continues to motivate my love for sports journalism. I know that this company and this brand is something I would like to be a part of. I think they should have baseball becuase they have football, baskettebal, soccer why can’t we have baseball. Then the people who want to try out can tryout and we can have another sport to play if you don’t want to play another sport also it would be another sport that if you wanted to go watch when the other sports were out of season than you could go and watch. Most adults’ favorite memories are from their past years participating in sporting events throughout their high school careers. They may not have realized it at the time, but they created memories and friendships to last a lifetime. High school athletes of future generations could not have the opportunity to invent vivid, unforgettable memories and such close relationships as our older generations had the chance to do. Not only could our future students miss out on memories and fun, but they could lack the life skills which athletes gain from participating in sports. This is definitely a change from the norm but at the same time it is exciting as well. It gives me the opportunity to use or observe some of the material that I have learned so far in my classes at Johnson & Wales in a real scenario. This internship allows me as well to gain much needed additional experience in the sports and athletics industry and will give me a more holistic view of the athletic program. It will allow me to see many different roles and see from various projects what parts of athletics I like or dislike since I am overall still open for the future to a variety of roles in the sports industry…

Despite these positive feelings about student athletes, she expressed that she was always busy, is board with team drama, has had injuries, and is constantly exhausted.…
