Contemporary society is plagued with the rapid -fire expansion of technology and social media. The incline of social media has caused a lack of concentration, poor communication, and a far less intellectual society. Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter and many other social media sites have dominated the youth and corrupted them into dull robots. Facebook is a mechanism that somehow convinced our youth into using Instant Messaging because apparently, the letter “U,” is a lot less time consuming than spelling out ‘Y-O-U.” Oh, whatever will you do with that extra second you saved from not typing two measly letters?
Now, we arrive onto the topic of Twitter. Twitter is like a fridge to a hungry teenager. They check it every two minutes to see if anything new appears, Knowing that nothing has. The abolishment of electronics would help to create a stronger, more intellectual, less distracted society. Vision would increase if society wasn’t always staring at miniscule, pixelated screens for hours on end. People would be able to “ROTFL,” if they honestly wanted to. If the joke was funny enough to make you roll on the floor laughing, you can do so, without looking like an idiot to your contemporaries. Teenagers would be forced on strengthening their social skills rather than sending out a text or shooting an
