Example Of A Podcast Essay

In this podcast, hosted by Sarah Koenig listeners’ are given an overview of a case that investigated the 1999 murder of Hae Min Lee. This podcast officially begins with the voice of the young man who was accused of the murder from the jail he resides. I thought this was pretty creative way to start the podcast off. Listeners’ can anticipate the determination in Kadan’s voice as she begins by saying, “for the last year, i’ve spent every working day trying to figure out where a high school student was.” Her voice, almost makes us want to listen more. She says that she is no investigator, or anything of that nature. Thus, it’s presumable that she has been studying this case for as long as she has to uncover truth and justice which perhaps she felt was missing.

I admire, how she asks rhetorical questions to prove her point in the beginning that its difficult to recall what happened throughout the week and she wants us to imagine the even greater difficulty for teenagers to recall what happened six weeks back during the murder time period. I can specifically put myself in these teenager’s shoes, because I know for certain that some things

Listeners’ learn that Lee's ex-boyfriend, whoes voice we hear in the first seconds of the podcast, Adnan Syed was taken by officials on February 28, six weeks after Min Lee’s body was discovered and the case was investigated. As I listen to this podcast, it sounds as if I am listening to something that continously struggles to find it’s conclusion. Syed’s albi stated he was innoscent. However, Koenig runs into another familiar problem. He cant seem to remember where he was, what he was doing, what time he was doing it, or anything at all. This has me at the edge of my seat because there is nothing at this point to prove his innoscene. It almost feels like watching a suspenseful episode of Law and Order slowly

Adnan Syed - Guilty Ever since “The Judiciary Act of 1789”, the United States courts system has been accurately convincing some of the most ruthless and dangerous criminals the world has seen. It has been able to accurately distinguish the difference between innocent and guilty and kept lying criminals from escaping unscathed. The case of Adnan Syed is no different, even though Serial a podcast series narrated by Sarah Koenig may suggest differently. It is evident that Adnan is culpable of killing his ex girlfriend Hae Min Lee because his claim of innocence just does not make sense, and the fact he has a reasonable motive makes him very suspicious; that combined with a witness named Jay, who was willing to testify against his good friend…
