What is a hero to you? A hero is different for each individual in the sense that it could be human to one person, a character to another, or multiple figures. Ordinarily, a hero can vary due to the culture, race, age, etc. When the mind is young, it tends to be significantly creative and imaginative, making it livelier and brilliant listening to a kid’s perspective on their hero. Although the idea or definition of a hero has changed in various aspects, it did not change completely. The typical hero is exaggerated to be strong, brave, or able to perform actions no ordinary human can recreate. A hero is something or someone that causes one to admire what they have to offer or have a sensation of security when around them; they represent a shoulder to lean/cry on when one is in distress.
Ordinarily, people need heroes for a number of reasons due to everyone having a different meaning for their hero. What heroes do for us depends on the meaning the hero is meant to portray. A hero could be for safety and comfort or inspiration and enlightenment. They act as a symbol for us to have the ambition to grow and become what we desire to be. A hero is not always physically present, but thinking about them for an extra boost of emotion can make up for it. In reality, no one has supernatural powers to teleport to your exact location or communicate through long distances. Unfortunately, the reality is that after reading an exaggerated story about a hero or watching an over-the-top movie about their powers, we humans tend to become disappointed at the fact that what is read or watched is not possible.
