Example Of A Follower Research Paper

The times I remember be follower is in Middle school. In Middle school I never took risk, like raising my hands, because I was always afraid of getting giving the wrong answer or I didn't have confidence. However, at home it is whole new story, I always try leading my younger sibling, telling them wrong from right and setting a good example. Even though I am a leader at home, I still have to work on becoming a leader instead of a follower, where I go.

Many times in our lives we have the choice to be a leader or a follower. One of the many times that I have chosen a leadership role is when I was on my competitive cheerleading team. During one of our first competitions half of the team forgot our routine and the stunts all fell. While everyone stood there in silence I started saying the words and going through the stunts and routine and everyone followed my lead and we pushed through the embarrassment. I decided to take this leadership role because I knew that everyone was too afraid to be the only one to say the words in fear that no one else would say them too, so I knew that if I put my dignity aside for a moment our team still had a chance to shine and get a good score on our round.…

In high school my most outstanding example of a time when I set an example as a student leader was my sophomore year in high school. My sophomore year of high school I was brought up to the varsity soccer team, the team that I was on was not extremely hard working and or dedicated. As a sophomore I was afraid to stand up and verbally tell the entire team that we need to step it up, or we are going to have a horrible season, so I decided to make my statement apparent by my actions. First, I started by always being the first one to every practice, putting pressure on my other teammates to do the same, in result everyone started to arrive to practice earlier. The second step I took was difficult since I was one of the youngest players and the…
