I believe that the concept analysis on the quality of life of children with chronic illness plays an important role in studies that measure the quality of life of these children. According to Eiser & Morse (2001), there has been an increasing interest in measuring children’s quality of life which can be attributed to the changing epidemiology of childhood diseases. Additionally, Eiser and Morse (2001) stated that there are many benefits from the studies measuring quality of life in children. First, it can help make an informed decision on treatment options for a child and it may also aid in making “end of life” decisions when it is appropriate to withhold treatment because the anticipated quality of life is very poor. Secondly, it may be used for routine audit work or evaluation of interventions. Lastly, it may be useful in understanding the child’s perception of illness and its effect on everyday life. According to Kourkoutas, Georgiadi, and Plexousakis (2010), the focus on the quality of life has contributed to the evolving children’s views for better treatment and care
