After General Jackson was mistakenly shot at and rushed to the nearest hospital I accompanied him there. The amount of on-duty doctors was inconveniently low and there was nothing for me to do but assist the few present. Due to the amount of overwhelming stress and inexperience in the medical field, I handed the surgeon not only the wrong tool but an unsanitary one at that. You can understand how the graveness of this situation since I explained the massiveness of the filthy conditions in the camps and how they led to countless of soldiers’ deaths. To sum up this tragedy, that infected tool led to Jackson becoming terrifyingly ill until he caught a bad case of pneumonia and ultimately passed away.…

A public event that took place recently is the Remembrance Day ceremony at the Grand Parade War Memorial. The event took place at 10:30 am on November 11, 2015 where many people from Halifax came to gather to remember the veterans that fought in the war for freedom for all Canadians. The ceremony consisted of veterans and RCMP marches, a moment of silence, placing of poppies and wreaths and readings. This event that took place was a time to gather and reflect on the wars that took place and the people who fought in them as well as the lives that were lost.
