As a result of the presentation of behavioral changes, depressive mood, easy crying, social isolation, constant sadness, discouragement, easy fatigue, low self-esteem, irritability, anxiety, appetite and sleep disorders, impairment of daily functions and ADL’s, Mrs. Claire was submitted to the psychological evaluation, as a necessary condition for her occupational, social and psych emotional rehabilitation.
According to the patient's reports, she lived in the United States for approximately seven years, during which time she met her husband, Mr. Brian, 36, an American, with whom he had a son, now six years old; the boy Gabriel. She tells that, after the wedding, she was sent back to Brazil together with the child by the said country (USA), to fulfill the pardon granted by the same. Since then, they have been living in the municipality of XXXX, where they have already been visited by Mr. Brian a few times. During the phenomenological investigation, she says that the dysthymic, depressive and anxious-genic symptoms began since from her return to XXXXX, taking her away from her husband, her home and her life. …show more content…
Ms. Claire states that this is the second time she presents with depressive symptoms, the first crisis was after the birth of the child with symptoms and episode of Postpartum Depression. However, he says that this second crisis is stronger and he has never felt anything so bad and distressing in her whole life (sic). She also speaks emotionally about his immense desire to return to the United States and resume her family
