The world of finance and business is a complicated and ubiquitous arena, and the axis around which most of our society’s most important issues move. Having worked for a number of years in a multitude of administrative positions, I feel in many ways as though I have merely skimmed the surface of a field that is brimming with professional opportunities. The pursuit of a Master’s in Business Administration will enable me access tap previously unused resources in my own skills set, giving me the formal education to take my knowledge to the next level.

Throughout my career thus far, I have had few opportunities to nurture a technology education, which I feel is vitally relevant to the work I do.
My immediate goal is to secure work with a reputable financial management firm, using the tools of my MBA to give me access to the real-world experience essential to career-development. I hope to eventually open my own consulting firm, primarily to ensure that I help to advise clients of all economic backgrounds. Professional consulting is the bastion of the rich, yet it is those living in the lowest income brackets that most desperately need advice and training on financial management. I intend to conduct community clinics, particularly in impoverished neighborhoods, so that I can truly use the benefits of my education to give back to communities like the one in which I was raised.
To the MBA program, I will contribute the broad business experiences of someone who has worked in the field for a number of years, giving me the benefit of drawing links between theoretical teachings and real-world problems. I bring with me a strong background in the area of management as well as teamwork, and the overarching desire to facilitate mutual learning through collaboration and discussion.
