One of the best advantages of text messaging is that you can customize quick notes automatically to send to someone without having to type a full question or sentence each time. Similarly, one can select a group of people from their contacts and name it as ‘family’ or ‘coworkers’. Then when he/she has a message to send to the whole family, it is easy to just send it to the whole group at once. One thing that I like the most about Text Messaging is the ability to send a message to someone to ask them to call you later regarding something important. At the same time, it doesn't interrupt them with a phone call; It allows them to respond back to you when it is most convenient to them.
An example of an opportunity where I found texting much more convenient than voice messaging is when my good friend got engaged and I was trying to reach one of my other friend’s to let her know, but she wasn’t picking up her phone. I realized that she was at a gathering and was probably unavailable to pick up, because someone was speaking so I texted her.
