The advantages of texting versus calling
Text messaging is being used by more and more people in the world today. Text messaging is silent communication between two people. Text messaging serves the purpose of easy communication that can be accessible even within time constraints. There are several advantages that have led to the popularity of text messaging services over traditional methods of communication through phone calls. Often times, text messaging offers a more convenient method of communicating over verbal phone calls.

You can send a message as a written invitation to your close friend about a special birthday dinner. You can even buy merchandise through Text Messaging. You enter a code and send it to a specific number then you are able to order certain products through text messages.
One of the best advantages of text messaging is that you can customize quick notes automatically to send to someone without having to type a full question or sentence each time. Similarly, one can select a group of people from their contacts and name it as ‘family’ or ‘coworkers’. Then when he/she has a message to send to the whole family, it is easy to just send it to the whole group at once. One thing that I like the most about Text Messaging is the ability to send a message to someone to ask them to call you later regarding something important. At the same time, it doesn't interrupt them with a phone call; It allows them to respond back to you when it is most convenient to them.
An example of an opportunity where I found texting much more convenient than voice messaging is when my good friend got engaged and I was trying to reach one of my other friend’s to let her know, but she wasn’t picking up her phone. I realized that she was at a gathering and was probably unavailable to pick up, because someone was speaking so I texted her.
