When it comes to getting dressed, entertainment, sleeping, and eating my husband and I are completely opposite like day and night. In fact, there are not many things that we are similar in at all. While this may be okay for my husband who believe opposites attract, I tend to think differently. I believe it has to do with loving someone and choosing to turn a blind eye to the differences. I often wonder how we manage to stay together with how completely discrepant we are. For instance, I can wake up out of bed and need to go to the store; I can have my hair in a ponytail that should've been brushed, simply covered up with a head wrap. My clothes can consist of a leopard print kaftan dress with pink flip flops and I am only worried about making sure I get the tissue from the store. However, I prefer the natural peace and quiet sleep in a nice dark room. A nice example would be how he plays the Netflix seasonal episodes of Everybody loves Raymond, Leverage, Boondocks, Family Guy, and Frasier. Coupled with the light from the television, phone, or tablet, and the sound of the fan blowing air on high and the water filter on the fish tank, I wonder how I sleep at all. Of course, I have learned to deal with the noise by blocking out the noise, and wearing a sleep mask to shield my eyes from the light. Can you imagine having two totally dissimilar views on eating? I almost loathe eating and if I didn't need it to survive I would probably stop eating altogether. I have an idea that I would really like to eat healthily. I would not mind cooking healthy meals for my family which would consist of boiled or baked meats with the five food groups as a guide.
