Evonik is one of the world's leading specialty chemical companies which have headquarters in Germany. Evonik is the multinational company which has its business office in 108 countries. It has the manufacturing sites at five countries namely Germany, France, USA, Canada and Singapore. It produces specialty chemicals which are the raw materials for around 168 different products. Evonik’s products are mainly used in the backend of 168 final products ranging from Car to Pharmaceuticals. Total of 33465 employees from different culture background are working in Evonik. The main focus is on profitable growth, resource efficiency and values. As a part of growth strategy, Evonik has invested around 6 billion euro since year 2012 to stay competitive in the market and as well as to position as one point solution for Resource efficiency. The major investments are in the developing regions like in Asia. The major investments are to make acquisitions and increase the facility of research and development in order to stay innovative and competitive. To improve resource efficiency in all the sections of business, Evonik has initiated two strategy programs called “Track 2.0” efficiency enhancement program and to realign the administration, has initiated “Administration excellence” program to save the cost by 750 million euro per year by …show more content…
The main objective of this project is to increase the final product quantity as per customer demand. Current capacity is to deliver at 18 Metric Ton per Isotruck but the customer needs 20 Metric Ton per Isotruck. In order to increase the quantity, few engineering modifications are required. Successful implementation of this project will change the position from customer perspective; it is a shift from Order qualifier to Order winner. The budget for this project is about 1 million. The payback for this project is about 2.5 years.
Evonik is implementing the Total Productive Manufacturing (TPM) in this plant. This TPM contains totally eight pillars including the Continuous improvement. In this continuous improvement pillar, cost productivity project is also included.
