Now I either lookup the word in an online dictionary or use spell check” (Kirchoff 2). From using the encyclopedia to going to the library for research, the internet has become a tool that saves time in many aspects of life. Adolescents are much busier now that technology saves them time; the saved minutes quickly become hours with this data base. On the contrary, Albert Einstein once said, “I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction. The world will have a generation of idiots.” As technology is more apparent in everyday lives, humans rely on its inherent advantages. Many teachers avoid technology in order to preserve traditional teaching methods although modern teaching methods have become simpler for children of the information age to understand. Although students are currently more dependent upon technology, technology is a man-made feature that continues to advance from generation to generation proving our increase of knowledge. The information age gives society a chance to change and enhance the common mechanisms of life.
