As the evolution of the human species has excelled for thousands of years, we have seen an exponential growth rate of the human population with little to no signs of reaching a carrying capacity like every other species. Because of this, we have a massive impact on the earth severely alter every single environment we inhabit. I compare the effects of humans on this planet to the perception that we are merely giant parasites on the earth. We thrive off the overexploitation of our natural resources and environment, and have very little factors that can control our population growth, and to me, that is indeed a parasite. I do appreciate all the amazing things that we can do as humans, but unfortunately, I have a hard time ignoring all the damage that we are responsible for on this
