The tree of life is much different from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. However, in Genesis, not much is continued about the tree of life and the focus is on the tree of knowledge. Chapter two in Roughgraden’s book continued with the idea of the single tree of life. I wanted to focus solely on the tree of life and chapter two inspired how I would look at this tree. The idea that all life is related and all creation is a part of one huge family tree is intriguing. Roughgarden inspired the idea that the branches of this tree are different branches of creation.
